Del Maguey Mezcal Santo Domingo Albarradas is produced in the village of Santo Domingo Albarrades in the high Mixe region of Oaxaca, Mexico. All of the mezcals in the Del Maguey portfolio are certified organic, and each expression is made from agave grown in a different small village. Del Maguey Mezcal Santo Domingo Albarradas is produced with agave grown in the tropical region of Mixe. The agave is grown at an elevation of over 8,000 feet in a lush, warm climate with high moisture that produces highly distinctive, fruity agave plants. The village is so remote that the only forms of transportation are horses and burros, and while this limits production, more land is preserved for growing agave to produce this incredible product.
